Hi, I'm totally new and apperently pretty stupid.
We have this project in school, where I'm gonna take pictures and stuff in a Nintendo-Theme.
So I thought of doing a big Zelda-pic with beads.
I have a feeling I didn't think it through, but now I just have to do it.. And I'm a little lost.
First of all, I need to do something about the pic so I can see the pixels, and I also need alot.. Alot, alot of beads.
I live in Sweden and haven't really liked the idea of buying from the US, so is there any good store anywhere around Sweden at all?

I need every help I can get.

cant help you with stores in sweden, but i can garentee you can find some on Ebay for sure.

also word of advice sence your new to this... sprites look smaller than they are, if your going to to a big one, dont go too big like a whole level or something, but a small section of the game will work, because whats on the screen is a size of a penny, in beads will be bigger than your fist.

so yea, just a clip or maby make your own scene with sprites.

Yeah, I discovered this too.. It almost made my start crying ^^
But I think I've found a way to do this now, so hopefully it'll work.

Don't forget to include pictures when you're done... I'd love to see how it turned out... best of luck...

In case you're anywhere near Göteborg, Panduro has a limited selection of beads. I get mine there. 15 SEK for 1000 sorted beads, and 99 SEK for 10.000 unsorted ones.

Do people in Sweden use the Paint application? Because if you guys do, there are a bunch of informative posts elsewhere on the forum that explain how to get a decent pixel template of sprites. Basically it boils down to:

1) Find a sprite image from...well, anywhere, and copy it.
2) Open Paint, and paste the image.
3) Select the "View" tab, and scroll down to "Zoom," then "Custom."
4) Pick the 800x option, and hit "OK."
5) Once the picture's huge, go back to "View," then "Zoom," and then select "View Grid."
6) Have fun with color-matching.

Did I miss anything, O Ye More Experienced Among Us?
