Hello!

I'm new to this forum and also new with beads Smile

I have read all of the messages here and was wondering that do you all use Perler beads or Hama beads?
Have anyone tried these

couldn't find info that are these different size but I think (no fact) that the photo ones are smaller.

Also wondering that have anyone tried the ones Ikea sells? They seem to have really limited colors and basically no brand at all.

I have made some sprite works (really small and not so many color since I only have 10 basic colors) with midi size Hama beads but now I ordered mini size and want to try them out. I'm hoping to get some pictures soon Smile

Those bottled beads look very interesting. I don't think I can get those though. I live in the US though so I'm mostly limited to Perler beads. I can get the Hama ones off of eBay.

The nearest Ikea to me is still on the border of New York, so I've not yet tried theirs.. Ikea makes beads? Wha?

I personally use Perler and Hama... I'm still waiting for the beads Oobgarm was supposed to send me, but it's probably for the best that I don't have them, he says they suck... But if those nabbi pearls, bottle beads or Ikea beads or whatever come in additional colors (shades and tints) than perler and hama, I'm in... I'll import them from finland or sweeden or wherever...

I'm guilty of only using perler... they're pretty cheap if you get them in Micheals. Well not cheap really, but they're not too bad. I'm saving up for another container! Very Happy

I personally use strictly perler beads from koolstuff4kids.com. I actually enjoy the challenge of matching colors. It does get frustrating tho, when I want to do something all gray shades. I just keep asking, why so many pinks...then I started doing pokemon.

Still, would be nice to find all shades from one supplier. I might look into others but for now, I use pastel blue, beige and peach as subs for lighter greys, and the darker blues and browns for darker shades...sometimes the results are nice and other times, i just say screw it, I wont do Ryu...
