Thanks to the release of the new film, which I saw and enjoyed thoroughly, I'm jonesing for everything Transformers-related.

Anyone else have a liking for the robots in disguise?

I was a huge fan of the toys. A nice old lady my Dad worked with bought me a good number of the toys back when they came out in 1983. Optimus Prime, Megatron, Soundwave-I had most of the major characters. Of course, I played with them and they've either been lost or broken.

As a result of liking the toys, I also loved the cartoon. I snagged the first season on DVD, but I wish I'd grabbed the others as well since they're out of print and expensive now.

I saw the original animated film in theaters as a youngster. I even pirated a VHS copy once it came out on video.

As I stated earlier, I saw the new film, and am now interested in the new toy line. Almost makes me feel like a kid again.

Yeah, I saw the movie too when it came out, I saw some of the Hoover Dam scenes way back last year in August, because my home town of Henderson, Nevada and where Hoover Dam is (Boulder City) is less than thirty miles away, when my friend said that they were shooting scenes, I had to see some transformers in action... but apparently they were done by the time we got there, we only saw a yellow camaro and about seven billion dollars worth of trailers and equipment, with 100 people running around... they were loading the camaro into a trailer... it was cool just to see the size of the project, even though all of the scenes were done... I assume most of the scenes were done in CG, and they only needed about a week to do the location shots...

Just thought I'd share that awesome, yet bleek experience...
