whos with me?

i said their gonna port okami, noone lisoned but it happened, and not to mention their porting Dead Rising now too, yes theres a downgrade but if its a fun game, it can stand on its own two legs without a little extra lence flare.

RE4 looked best on the Wii out of PS2,GC and PC, not to mention though, that RE4 has been released on a japanese mobile phone with amazing graphics. say what you like but its going to happen, downgrade or no, if its a good game to start, graphics mean nothing.

It's gonna happen and im gonna love it im sure.

They'd have to remove the online co-op, which I think is one of the coolest additions to the series.

I dunno about a Wii port. If they do one, it will be long after the game's initial release, and well after most folks have had a chance to play it.

I figure the Wii will see some spin-offs, but I don't see 5 coming for a long time, if at all.

I dont know about that. Resident Evil has been pretty loyal to Nintendo up until recently, so even if a Wii version isnt released at the same time I think one will come not too long after its initial release. Especially if its as well received as Resident Evil 4 was.

Plus theres that fact that game developers just seem to like programing for the Wii. "How can we let this game take full advantage of the Wii's motion control?" seems to be a question asked fairly often.

I can't see it happening to be honest, these downgraded wii ports aren't doing so well according to numerous kotaku.com reports but they'll no doubt do SOMETHING, possible a sequel to umbrella chronicles : Which was a fantastic game and idea.

They have remade almost every single Resident Evil game for Nintendo, so you might get lucky Smile

That's true. If they put RE2 on N64, they should be willing to do anything...

They made most of them on Gamecube also. I believe they even upgraded the graphics on some of them.

Thats because the N64 was more powerfull than the PS1, it was a smart move they made to cater to the people who complained about the loading times going through doors etc.

The gamecube ones were just ports for moneys sake obviously, but nintendo have never had to downgrade the games, which is what makes me think they won't use a downgraded port of RE5.

Resident Evil 2 & 3 are direct ports from the Dreamcast. Resident evil 1 got a complete remake however, which I luuuuuuuurve Smile

Nintendo had to downgrade the graphics in RE4 for the Wii system due to the systems inability to handle the graphics and they also had to change it for the controller.

Edit: Scratch that, I got confused Smile

I guess Smile

Just be thankfull it's not the crappy downgrade the PS2 got, they took the graphics waaaaay down and instead gave a couple of new weapons.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking about was the downgrade to PS2.

The only good part about RE4 on PS2 were the Ada missions.

*sigh* i've got to a point now im feeling the lack of real games on the wii. like im getting fed up of a sea of party games and just want a new game but have little real choises.... next week im gonna get the new wario, i love the 2D style so should have fun, but the lack of graphics seem to make most games almost like hi rez SNES games or when in a real 3D enviroment, kinda just quirky and childish....

I've come to terms with it, wii wont get RE5, theres just no way, sure the ressy series is just awesome on a nintendo console, but with this one its just too far beyond a possible port. hopefully nintendo's next console will be graphicly buffed out and they eventually port it then (late ports arnt unheard of, just look at 2/3/CV for gamecube). and in truth, resently finishing RE4 and knowing re5 is following the format... im now hoping more so for a completely new game, spin off or not, of resident evil thats alot more like RE:zero and RE1 for wii as i didnt find re4 as great, good game, but didnt feel so much a Ressy game, appart from the Ada Missions, they felt more relivant.

If Nintendo ever gets ridiculously good graphics, I'm done with it.

Nintendo's most appealing feature, to me anyhow, is keeping it old school (at least in comparison to other systems) whilst still throwing in new things like the motion censored controller and such.

I know what you're saying about its lack of good games and WAY too many party games though. I want to play the new(ish) Chocobo Dungeon game, and I might play Lego Batman on Wii just so I have something to play on it.

In other news, Wii Fit is great fun.

I know what you mean. The new style they created for RE4 really threw me off at first, but after a little while I found it alot more comfortable then any previous Resident Evil game.

I believe RE5 will be the same play style.

If you want good graphics with great single player games, buy a system with good graphics that isn't geared towards the party gamer scene. That's like buying a game that's called "101 Board Games" and wondering why there isn't a FPS game on the disc.

Sorry, I'm just sick of people buying the wii and then complaining about it because it is NOT a gamer system and people just don't realize it.

On a happier note, try "No More Heroes". It's a fun arcade feel game for the wii.

i got the wii close to the start of its life cycle, ive always gone towards the nintendos, hell i stuck with it in the dark days of gamecube, had an exbox but kept playing the cube, tottally non-biest, just had the games for me, and even now the nintendo console has the games i want and cant be arsed with the sameie xbox/ps3 games. its not a case the wii dosnt have games at all, its a fact theres not enough of them, i've either played them, or still waiting for them. SBCG4AP eps, sam and max for wii, wii tetris, the conuite, all still waiting.

the wii CAN do it, but nintendo's eyes are like $.$ with their consoles expanding to a new, HUGE audience, they seem to have forgotten that that kind of audience wont last for ever and their more serious audience who are more likely to stick for the long run will be lost to xbox if they dont do something soon. i even been browsing xbox games lately, theres sod all im interested in, but the fact im looking isnt a good sign. lets hope this Wario game im gonna pick up Friday might save the day.

Truthfully, i always look. when i had a wii i still looked at 360 and ps3 games. I even sold my wii for a 360 for the same problems you are having. I just wouldn't expect this system to change much and just hope the next one they will release will be more up your alley.

I still think its way too early to toss the Wii aside as just a party machine. Nintendo is releasing all these party games now, cause they sell. When the hype wears down, they'll look into other games again. Nintendo's always been true to their fans.

As for the No More Heroes suggestion, I was really excited about it when I picked it up, but it had the same problems Killer 7 had. It just felt too clunky.

In other news, I am eagerly awaiting the new Animal Crossing game.
