I went and bought some more wax paper, so I could iron big pieces easier, but the stuff I bought stuck to the pieces.

I managed to salvage the pieces by scrapping the paper off, but I can't figure out why it stuck to the pieces.

I tried turning the heat down and doubling over the pieces and that sort of worked, but I don't think I would use this wax paper again.

Has anyone else come across a problem with using wax paper that didn't come with your bead kits?

Don't use wax paper, you'll always run into that problem. Use parchment paper, thats what Perler calls their "Ironing Paper."

Problem solved, keep the wax paper in the kitchen and away from your precious art.

You used wax paper. Wax melts when exposed to heat. The paper you get with the beads is usually silicone paper.

You can buy a roll of silicone paper for like $3.50 US in the grocery store. Should be with all the baking goods.
