Hi peeps, nice to meet you and thank you for this useful and well written forum!
I have some pre-beginner questions I need answered before I throw myself into this fantastic hobby...:

1) From what I read, Hama sells 3 sizes of beads and midi size is the common choice; Perler's only standard size is just slightly bigger than Hama midi, but better, since it melts easier with near beads. Is all of this correct?

2) Are Hama//Perler pegboards compatible (can you use a brand's board with other brand's pearls)

3) Is it possible to mix Hama midi and Perler beads in the same creations? Do the 2 types of pearl melt together in the right way?

4) I bought some IKEA Pyssla beads; are they Hama midi, Perler or a different thing?

5) Do you recommend Hama or Perler to obtain a good result? and, by the way, who has cheapest prices?

6) Do you need to iron both sides of a sprite or is it better to leave one side untouchet to have a better result?

Other starter suggestions are really appreciated!
Thank you in advance,
