I remember doing these as a kid, and relics have been on mom's fridge since. She brought it up a short bit back as something that we could do at the house when I brought the step-daughter over after seing them at Wal-Mart after all this time. Needless to say, I'm hooked all over again. Since mom getting a Perler bucket, I found a lightly used one for $2 at Goodwill and purchased a basic kit to get a 29x29 board.

This is the third or fourth I have done so far.

Looking forward to doing many more. I'll be sure to share.

Thank you for such a cool forum. Now I am off to E-Bay for another 8 plates and beads(if I can decide on colors).

Welcome to our group of (mostly) adults addicted to playing with plastic beads and hot irons!!!

As a fellow addict, I'd like to take this opportunity to recommend my candywoman of choice, ebay seller callahan13 Mr. Green . I've done a lot of comparison shopping, and haven't found a better source when considering choice of colors (of both Perler and Hama beads), availability, reasonably priced and prompt shipping, and overall quality of service.

Have fun! Very Happy

I second that. Callahan13 (Michelle) is the only seller I get beads from anymore. I bought so many at one point I haven't needed to purchase more for awhile now. Soon enough, I'm bound to run out of some color.
