How the hell should I go about this? Should I just make each board and iron it seperately? I think I need some input...

I'm also wondering about this because I have an extremely large one I want to start on, but I don't have room to just leave it out while I work on it.

I'm a fan of layered pieces, as most of you know...however, I also have quite the large piece in progress, and there are areas that are quite large...the final piece will be around 4 ft by 4 ft, so I was thinking up breaking it up into four sections. For something flat and large (without layering, that is), I would break it down to at least 2x2 peg boards for each piece, if not 1 peg board per section.

I would love to layer it, that would be kick-ass, but I have absolutely no idea how to. =/

I think I'll probably just break it up into 1 pegboard pieces and attach them later. It's gonna end up being 22x11 boards and over 183,000 beads...

I would also like some more info on the layered bead art. I think that would really be useful in what I'm gonna work on.

i wonder..... how are you going to compensate for the fact the the characters are 8-bit but the background is 16-bit. if you didn't compensate for it the character would be too small.

I was thinking the same thing. I hope you have a cleaner resolution version of that image, because that one appears to have some compression going on - are the characters an even multiple of the background pixels (ie 2 or 3 times the size).

You might do well to downsample it - which would make the overall project a lot more managable, affordable, and take a hell of a lot less time, lol.
