Play it! Play it! Play it!

I started playing it this morning, and I'm in love with it. I'm playing on DS (because 1. It's portable 2. I prfer the control pad to that of the Wii 3. It's the one I have) Razz

So I'll update a little more when I've played more, but so far I reccommend investing. It is the best thing I've played in a while.

It REALLY is good.

Don't listen to him. He's never played FFVI... the best game of all times. No one values your opinion, SIR!

I'll have to check it out. I wasn't TOO impressed by the LEGO Star Wars for DS, although I liked it for Xbox.

I think I'm going home (from college) this weekend specifically to play multiplayer with the boyfriend.

I'm super excited!

I've got it on 360 and I'm not really all that impressed with it. I admit I haven't gotten that far it in, but its just not living up to the awesomeness that is Batman.

idk about the wifi.

Apparently the DS game is different from the ones on the home systems. Perhaps you should try that, Kyra?

I'm a huge Batman fan, and this one most certainly lives up to the awesomeness that is Batman.

So I finished the main storyline today, and it was just great. It really is the best new game I've played in a long time.

There's a lot of replay value for completists because you can't get everything on the first run through (you'll see what I mean when you play it). & it makes your work to get everything unlocked... I always felt like I was missing something.

If you're the kind of person who likes to run around & collect things you should love this game. One of my favorite parts of RPGs is opening the treasure chest, so of course I adored breaking LEGO trees for studs. =)

As far as being true to Batman goes, I think it does a fantastic job! Of course it presents the story in a much lighter/more cutesy manner than a comic or movie would have (you have to remember the game has to be true to both Batman & LEGO even though LEGO doesn't have storyline it does have a certain reputation and audience to cater to), but the fact that just about everyone was in the game made it exciting - you're always anticipating the arrival of your favorites. Movie cluttered with characters = epic fail (i.e. Spiderman 3... granted, that would have been fail either way, but we won't get into that), however, game cluttered with characters = massive win (i.e. LEGO Batman! Wink)

Like Crausse said, it is quite addicting so beware! I'll let you know what I think of the home systems' version, too, when I play it - home & handheld are apparently different.

It's good stuff!

I love all of the lego action games, but I think they are particularly fun with a friend. Very good casual gaming.
