Hi,

New one singing in here. Never did beads before but it is not that hard. I live in Belgium (therefore my English is not that good sorry for that) and work at a toys store (yes we sell beads Very Happy). I was browsing the internet and saw how cool things where being made from beads, i also love playing games on various system especially the older systems (like SNES, GBA, GC, DC ect.) but also on the newer systems.

So yesterday i bought a few packs of HAMA beads and one base plate (gonna try small things first before the big ones). What i wanted to ask is if there is someone how knows a table or list from every color of hama beads there are cause i cant seem to find it anywhere.

Anyways thanks in advance and that was my introduction if you need to know something more just ask me i wont bite Very Happy

Posted my first one online Very Happy at the beads thread. I'm going to have some small projects but i already want to get some basic steps for my first big project also (just the starting things but i'm a little stuck atm let me post the problem)

I'm trying to create a color chart for myself before i'm going to buy my beads for the following art (http://img167.imageshack.us/img167/7929/nekubcf2.gif) . In my country HAMA is the prior beads company (never seen perler here) so i have around 55 colors to pick from (so you guys know that the codes are HAMA codes). Here is what i have so far:

For the picture outlining wich is normal:

Black 18

For the hair i think i'm going to use:
Brown (for shadows) 21
Orange (normal hair) 4

Face + His arm is going to be
Beige 27
Shadows ???? (have absolutely no idea what i can use for shadows here)
Yellow for his bracelet 43 (pastel cause it's not yellow yellow but soft yellow)

His shirt (need some help here i think i'm going to have the wrong colors):
Purple (shadows) 07
Pastel Purple 45
Translucent black (shadows) 23
(bit of yellow here is same as his arm and white same as pants for his bracelet around his neck)
Grey (against the yellow line and shadows) 17

Pants + Belt

White 01
purple like shirt
yellow like arm bracelet
blue for belt itself 08
Grey belt itself ??? no idea here

anyways anyone who can help me a bit further and look at what i have would be nice.

I don't know if this is going to be possible cause of the shadows (lots of shades of different colors but we need to have a bit of a challenge right Very Happy)

Here's the re-color I came up with. I just got this game last month and had been wanting to do one of the characters (of course, I'll probably to Shiki, since I lean towards the chicks Razz):

I use both Perler and Hama, but there should be an adequate replacement for all Perler colors used.

You'll have to wait for redostrike to do it - I'm going to do Shiki!

You could always do one of the smaller sprites from the game, when your'e walking around the city and stuff.

I will probably do the ingame versions of Naru, Shiki and Beat. I might make the bust of Beat when I get more boards. I'm still pretty new with this so my boards are limited Smile

Well, you'll probably need somewhere between 24 and 26 for the Neku - obviously, on a straight grid, he'd be 28 (as pictured) but you can arrange him on there to take up less, which is the main reason I use a grid like that to begin with.

The neku is going to be for the future but i really want to do him i'm first going to have some small projects (pokemons, mario & friends, ect) then going to have a few bigger projects and move my way up to the neku one. That way i can learn and remeber the colors and see what is good and what is not so good. Went to the store today and got a box whit seperated shelfs (small shelfs) for putting my beads in Very Happy. Let the sorting begin Very Happy.

Yeah, I only have 9 boards right now so I knew I wasn't able to. I will be getting more boards when I get paid next. Maybe I can do it in a month or 2.

I have a lot of projects that I want to do right now but with 32-Bit Genocide coming up, and Otakon on top of that, I gotta conserve my spending money for the conventions/shows. After 32-Bit, however, I will likely be using the majority of the cash I make to buy more beads. Then its on!
