Hey everybody! I just bought a tub of 15,000 hama beads and some pegboards. But I have a few questions

Im having trouble finding all the colours I need in there. Should I sort them all out into zip lock bags or something? Is it worth it?

Secondly Im also having trouble with getting my creations to stick right. It seems I either melt it too little, and have beads fall off in a few hours or I melt it too much and they become square and look yucky!

I bought the bucket of doom too, and I regret it. Sorting them would help a ton, and I sorted for a little while till I got really angry. Now when I need a color from the bucket, I get a big bowl and sift through beads in my hand - putting the color I need in a small cup, and the unwanted beads into the bowl. When I'm done I pour the beads back into the bucket. This is a quick process for me even though it takes about 30 minutes. x__x

I have been buying my beads from Callahan13 on ebay.

I've been putting my dream sprites through Perlerpal:http://www.edsalisbury.net/projects/perlerpal/ and writing down the colors I will need on my big wishlist. n_n

All in all though, the big buckets are good to start with. It will just get really frustrating when you run out of beads. :<

Her, actually. ^^;

Yeah, I bought a big bucket of doom..it was..ugh. Took me about two weeks to sort through it. While it's certainly the cheapest option, I wound up with a ton of beads I'll never use, and like..a very small handful of a few others that I would.

I just placed my first order with Michelle/callahan13, and I'm quite pleased. She replies personally and very quickly, and can help you out with whatever you need.

Thanks for the correction and the feedback about the seller. Now I know I can trust her.

As I said in your other topic, I also had big problems with ironing in the beginning. I thought it would help to iron harder on a high temperature, but don't do that mistake. Use medium temperature and press very light. Keep the iron moving, and don't stay too long on any part, because it will overmelt. You may need to experiment with the temperature, all irons aren't the same you know
Hope that helps.

Hey, actually. ^^;

I found a seller, on EBAY, who got better deals than callahan13 and I'm quite pleased. when you go back on EBAY you may want to seek out the "Bakers'KidsCraftsBooks&More" they truely have the best deals around. Smile
