Long time lurker, just thought I'd put up a few crappy pics I took of some coasters I made for a friend this weekend.

Making coasters was actually how I discovered bead spriting in the first place.. Smile

Unfortunately, I also discovered that unless you put some kind of backing on the bead coasters, or you flat-iron them on one side, the condensation goes right through the holes in the beads. XD

It was adhesive backed foam made by Elmer's. It comes in multiple colors and you can get a pack at walmart for under $5.00. I don't know how well it will hold up to moisture, though. I'm still doing my trial run on these to see how they do.

I'll keep an eye out for that-- thanks.

I bought some rather plain sheets of 2 mil foam from Wal Mart the other day for about 57 cents a sheet..I think I can get about 5 coasters from each sheet. A little superglue on one side and it seems to have stuck quite firmly, though I too don't know how it will hold up to moisture.

I really like those coasters though- kinda like how they're 'candid' shots from a game, and not just a standard sprite.

Thanks. I thought a candid would be a different take on the coaster idea. I'd done sprites by themselves and on coasters, but thought adding a bit of the scenery around them would look nice.

Yeah, I like that lampshade. Good stuff. (And not Megaman for once Very Happy )

Just made Jen from The IT Crowd. Blurry pic, sorry. I need more beads (rust and cheddar) so I can make Roy and complete the set.
