I remember falling in love with small bags of bead when I started a few years ago...my passion grew and so did the size of the beads that I fell in love with. I used to stitch and now I string but also bend and weave and dangle! Its magical! I think we are just a bunch of big kids and its like a big sweet shop. If anyone feels the urge to experiment further in to the beading world try out this fantastic mail order company who offer a top class service and quality beads with a huge selection of glass beads, beads supplies, components, hill tribe silver etc. Try it out!

I used to work here, fabulous bunch of ladies!! Cool

This website doesn't even *have* Perler or Hama beads available. Way to be a dirty exploiter!

Hey, at least random spam means there's been a decent amount of traffic to the site? Or someone's marketing rep just got bored...

I'm probably more annoyed than I should be about advertising tactics that involve crap like this- is there a way to block such things?

I kno rite...

Incidentally my sister's best friend used to work for an earring manufacturer for a few years, many years ago....
In the 80s, to give you an idea.

I literally already have a chest full of "Real" beads.
From the 80s. My sister gave them to me.
Some of them are the usual, sequins & seed beads, glass things, but a LOT of them are really bizzare out there. Leather & metal for example, plastic beads shaped like armless women, fruit-shaped beads, ocean scene beads, really loud obnoxious 80's jewelry.
I used a bunch of 'best' ones already on other crafts (ex. I used up a lot of the crystals & colored hearts & pearl beads,) and my sister took the other half, mostly things I'm not interested in.

Between the two of us, I have enough left to piss my folks off "Oh my god what are we gona do with all these beads when you move out you gona take these with you or what?"

So I'm pretty much stocked up on "Real" beads for awhile.

Edit: Actually this may also help explain why I don't mind sorting thru the perler beads - I'm already used to sorting beads from all that long time ago.
