The subject says it all: how do the people who sell individual colors on eBay get their products, sell them for way cheaper than the official site, and still make money? Is there wholesaling involved? Do they have Mafia connections? Or do these people just sit at home and sort beads all day? If so, where do they get the colors and shades that it's impossible to find ANYWHERE ELSE?

Also, does anyone else suspect an evil marketing ploy in the "free stuff" included with some purchases? "Hey look, a color that's impossible to find anywhere except on my eBay page!"

Stupid "gotta catch 'em all complex..."

The seller I buy from on eBay gets her stuff wholesale. I'd questioned her about it once; apparently she does a lot of business so going wholesale from both Perler and Hama was no problem.

LOL! Thats the funniest thing I've ever heard! And also the saddest....because I'm one of those people who sits at home and sorts through huge bags of perler beads all day.... I've even hired my three siblings to help me with it..... Rolling Eyes

Yeah, they get the beads wholesale and then sell em by weight (for approximate quantity), which is why they come in ziplock bags instead of the "official" retail bags...

and the gotta catch 'em all complex is so prevalent when it comes to fuse beads... why can't it be like thread? and have a gynormous selection and start numbering the colors six digits deep in hex code and this would be our color pallette:

Oh, and nevermind the netscape banter...but that would be so sweet...

*now I'm wondering how long this image will stay before it's flagged for a bandwidth violation...*
