If you intend to do it at full size, you'll need about 40 pegboards, and 3 by 6 feet of table or floor space. It will literally be as big as you are. You might really wanna consider resizing.

The colors I'd use are:

For the skin, Perler Peach, Hama Pink, Perler Bubblegum, and Hama Burgundy if you want a pinkish tone, or Perler Peach, Hama Flesh, Hama Light Brown, and Hama Rust for a more natural tone.

For the hair, Perler Periwinkle, Hama Turquoise, and Perler Blueberry Cream.

For the outfit, Perler Pastel Blue, Perler Light Blue, Hama Light Blue, and Perler Dark Blue. Maybe PhotoPearl's Sky Blue for some areas.

A bit of Perler Red for the mouth and Hama Teddy Bear Brown for the circlet.

And of course white and black.

Of course, that's what I would use, and several of those colors will be difficult for you to come by. I say you should investigate the colors on your own, as choosing the right combination of colors is half the fun of bead sprite projects.

This piece is going to cost you between $17.48 and $37.50 depending on how much you get your beads for. There are 13,445 beads in it. Below is my recolor, although you may want to substitute blues for Purples if that is indeed Sailor Mercury's color, but from the pic you linked, I wasn't sure.

You will need 39 peg boards, at the very least, if you arrange her the way I have in the image (each square represents a 29x29 pegboard).

Also, your color breakdown (Perler shades), so you know you got enough:

2,272 Black
215 Dark Grey
696 Blue
2,653 Periwinkle Blue
2,302 Pastel Blue
1,147 Toothpaste
165 Brown
284 Light Brown
1,054 Tan
1,627 Creme (Or Peach)
19 Cheddar
6 Red
974 White

I forgot to account for a dark red color used on her eyebrows when I recolored the image - just use Brown on that instead.

If this is one of your first, I would hold off until you are very comfortable with your ironing technique. Also, make sure you have a 5 x 3 foot area to iron her on, since that is about how big she'll be on those boards.
