Hello all, I've been lurking for a while and finally decided to join and add my sprites to the mix. All the ones I've made so far are newbie ones, but maybe when I get paid I can buy some more boards and colors (is a starving collage student).

All images are thumbnails, so click 'em for bigger pictures.

In no particular order, I present:

Bub and Bob. I probably should have used clear for the mouth, but it just looked a little too weird for my tastes.

Black Mage. He looks like he might have lost a bead in the front left corner. Battle damage I guess.

White Mage. Dont mind the uneven ironing, hes sensitive about his skin condition.

Original green shroom. I forgot to flip it over for the picture, oops. I wanted to experiment with the translucent colors, since I have a fair amount of them. The effect works well on this one.

Super Mario World green shroom. Nothing fancy

Raccoon Mario with shading! This was the very first one I've made in maybe 10 years. The shading is crap and I didnt really use a sprite. I copied an Animal Crossing pattern.

Super Mario World fire flower. He's got a bit of a sun burn on one side.

Cucco! Pretty much the same size as the Shroom group.

Red shroom, also from Super Mario World. The reason it looks a little blurry is because you're on acid, not because I cant hold the camera steady.

Group photo time!

So thats what I've got so far. I used to make these every day when I was younger, but I hadn't thought of using them to make video game sprites until recently. I must admit I was a little bummed out to realize I wasn't the coolest person in the world for doing this first. Alas.

Fantastic starters! Don't worry. You've stumbled into a rather money hungry hobby, but it's oh soo rewarding. Welcome to the forum.

Since I haven't posted anything in ages, (or beaded anything for that matter) I'll liven up my page with my challenge entry.

About 2 or 3 weeks ago my boyfriend bought us the first volume of Tiny Toon Adventures on DVD. I forgot how much I loved that show and how horrible kids cartoons are now in comparison to such an awesome show. It also reminded me how much I liked the SNES game Buster Busts Loose. I remember I kicked ass at the jump rope game.

So here's Plucky Duck

Another shot of Plucky on my overly crowded table.

Also some Kirby's I never got around to taking pictures of until the Kirby Challenge came around.

And my very lopsided Katamari Kirby. Maybe I'll remake the katamari part one day.

Also, this is the new sprite I want to start working on when I order beads.

Duck King of Fatal Fury and King of Fighters fame. I just plan on doing him, not the border, background or the stats at the bottom.

i was wondering who uploaded that to perlerpal. i was tossing around the idea of painting him in that pose. those cards have some really sweet poses.

8-Bit, if you want to paint him, go ahead. It will be a long, long time til I bead him. I have alot of other projects infront of him.

I wonder if I get get my hands on the code for perler pal - maybe I can make a flash version with an algorithm for choosing the best colors, instead of just the closest match - like when you have two separate shades of grey that both are translated into one grey - integrate a bunch of "if, then" statements for adjacent colors and such.

That would be very useful. Perlerpal's color scheme is just a bit off. When I uploaded him to see how many of each color I might need, it suggested I make him Orange and Butterscotch.
