Absolutely love your work.

I've got two questions for ya, if you don't mind!

First of all- does your palette consist of Perler and Hama beads exclusively, or d'you have stuff from other companies?

Also, that Link sprite is pretty amazing. Very vibrant, seems like a fun project. I was wondering if you had a copy of the original or recolored sprite laying around somewhere? I tried to see if AbyssWolf had it anywhere, but I couldn't find it. Sad

Hope to hear a reply- great work, look forward to any future updates!

This Link is probably the most popular thing I've finished lately so I'll start with him. Smile He is quite awesome (and huge) and once again I must pledge my devotion to the almighty pixel artist AbyssWolf for whom I based my bead sprite off of his art. Cool

Do you have the sprite for this??

Hi danexscene. A friend and I were looking for this same sprite all over the web and we couldnt find it anywhere. But we finally got it after a while! I can't find the original website anymore, so I have uploaded it for you (and everyone who's interested).

Again, sorry for not getting back to everyone's questions, I honestly do not check this forum all that much anymore and I never wish to ignore anyone; I love answering questions and helping any way I can. ^.^

As BrYaN55 has put out, that is the sprite I used, it was made by a pixel artist named Abysswolf whom I love, adore, and worship the ground he walks on since many of my favorite sprites come from him. <3 He and another pixel artist named Orkimides have been working on a fighter style video game called "Card Saga Wars." They've been at it for yeeeeaaaarrrrsss and I'm honestly not sure if they will ever finish it sadly enough, ;.( though I hope they do. Here is their "Card Saga Wars" website which has many, many, many, gorgeous sprites on it perfect for beading (on a side note, that is where I got the giant Link Sprite from. ^.^)

Card Saga Wars

Please check it out and give them all the support they truly deserve. Very Happy

As for the colors I used on Abysswolf's giant Link, I used a vast mixture of Perler, Hama, and Photopearls. Photopearls are a bit harder to come by (and a little expensive) but I find that they are worth the extra time and money to locate and buy them since they have some pretty unique colors (such as that lightest green I used on Link which is called "Photopearls Kiwi" and a light grey, lighter then perler's normal grey which is called "Photopearls Light Grey").

Once again, hoped this all helped and have fun browsing about Abysswolf's and Orkimide's website!! <3 <3

The Sora and Roxas I made are also based off of original sprite art made by Abysswolf (my hero!<3) They are not on his "Card Saga Wars" website, but they are on his DeviantArt Account which you can find at the link below:

Thank you!! <3 That's interesting you ask because I just started it up again and am working on it diligently until it is complete (hopefully in the next 2 weeks). I've been placing updates about it on the other forum I belong to as well as my DeviantArt Account, but I could put up my most recent snap shot here:

Tada! There is more added now then before and I'll update it again probably when I'm done. ^.^

Thought I would add these two in here since I was quite found of the original pixel art which was done by a pixeljoint.com artist named Anubis. Zero-suite Samus is always a sexy choice in my book, even as an adorable chibi. ^.^

Your ironing technique is beautifully consistent.

Any special tricks you use, or does it all come from experience?

I'm a whore for flat-ironing. LOL ^.^ There is some technique involves, but it comes a lot from knowing your iron and what it is capable of as well as experience with melting them over, and over again. I've kinda written up a tutorial about how to do it, but it's a bit on the long side so I could PM it to you if you would like it. Surprised

If you don't mind, I'd absolutely love to read the tutorial.

I love your work!!! I think everyone here does. It's just incredible! You have a great eye for color! I hope to get as good as you one day! ^__^

Can you put your ironing tutorial up on the forum for everyone to read? It would probably help out tons of people! ...Including me. My sprites are ironed so inconsistently!

In fact.. Today I decided to try to iron down the sprite (inspired by the way you iron yours so that the holes don't show) and I ended up melting my slime from Dragon Warrior (I know that doesn't sound possible since it's a blob.. xD) to the point where it looked completely deformed.

Hi Serena,

I really like your work and am wondering where you purchased your hama and photopearls - etc. I am semi-new to bead spriting, have yet to put up my pics, but have a wall full of them now. I am planning on getting a 55,000 you pick it thing from Callhan13, but still would like more variety in the palette. Any websites that you've found those on would be helpful.

Thanks!

You've just answered your own question. If you send Callhan13 a PM or email, she can hook you up with Hama and Photoperals. She sells them by request only I believe.

Shocked I just love that Link bead. It's completely awesome.
I bet that Eggshell wars will be stunning if you complete it.

If you don't mind, could you PM me the ironing tutorial too?
