Hey all. It's been a while, but November and December are busy months for everyone. I got quite a few little projects done but haven't had time to post them. Lets see if I can find all my pictures I took lately and do that. Lets see, lets start with one of my news toys that I've been playing with, Hama Mini Beads!!! I got my order in a couple weeks before Thanksgiving from Michelle and have already ran out of quite a few colors. Embarassed They are just so tiny and can pull off projects that would be quite big at a 1/4 the size! I Love it! I just wish there were more colors for more of a complete pallete but meh, that's what improvising is for. Razz Gamer Grrlz has totally inspired and impressed me with all her Sailor Moon Sprites she has done on PixelGasm lately and I could just not help myself from doing some as well. Embarassed So, I did the 3 Starlights character select busts from the Sailor Stars Puzzle Game.

Each one of these would be HUGE if not for the mini beads. With them, the sprites fit on my wall quite easily with my Starlights Poster. Smile

So tiny! And just to give credit where credit is due I got these sprites from Lycentia's Sm Graphics page. She really does have a great Sailor Moon Sprite collection. Smile

Found Squall! Well, Leon technically since the sprite is from the Kingdom Hearts game. I did this one for a friend of mine since he demanded it. Rolling Eyes Glad he loved it so much, which I would expect from a guy would has tattoos of Squall and Final Fantasy 8 related things all over his body. Wink

Hey all, been a very long and busy Christmas season and I'm finally back to start posting some of my work again. It may take a while though since I've done a lot and time is still a fleeting thing in my world *sigh* Rolling Eyes But, I'll get the ball rolling for myself by posting one of my late Christmas gifts I made for a friend of mine, sorry Andrew. Embarassed

It's the middle form of Kefka from Final Fantasy VI. Kefka himself is made out of beads while his background is a blown up print from Kinko's. Hurray for 24 hour Kinko's! I have no clue how I would live without you in the graphic design and animation world I have developed for myself. Embarassed And thanks again Andrew for being a good sport about receiving late Christmas presents. ^.^;

ok, so here is some more Christmas present Bead Art I did. My sister was interested in having one of her own, and since she's not really into video games, I did a picture version of her instead. Smile

Merry Christmas Megan. Smile

Thank you! Smile You know I've been thinking about selling my stuff at conventions as well, especially ACen in Chicago since I go every year, but I'm so into actually browsing about the convention, I'm not sure I could stand to sit in one spot all weekend. Is the payoff you make worth it?

The joker one was completely done by eyeing the press release shot of him from the movie, my sister however was done differently. There is a program by Photopearls, but I'm honestly not that impressed by it. It does help with skin tones, but for all highlights and such, it seems to want to make everything so dark. For her picture, I originally took the image into the Photopearls program, adjusted it to see what it generated for me, then took that image into http://www.edsfamily.com/projects/perlerpal/ adjusted it more there with a custom pallete to see what it generated for me, and THEN took that image back into GIMP and hand selected and replaced colors with even more things I thought were better appealing to the eye. It was a long drawn out process, but I loved the results, especially since I customized it so much rather then simply putting a picture in and having something generated straight back at me. Part of the fun of beading is being able to do things your way, with your own special touch, rather then what some pre-set blueprints tell you. Smile

One of my few remaining Christmas/Birthday (Why is there always gift giving holidays at the same time!!!) presents left to finish up, and it's finally done. Thank God. This my interpretation of AbyssWolf's custom Sora that he did. (<3AbyssWolf<3!!!) I made this for my brother for his 17th birthday and he better like it or I'll kill him!!!!! Razz I know he'll love it. Kinko's kept jerking me around about the pixeled background asking, "Is it suppose to be like that?" and "Yes, YES IT IS!!!" Second time they've done that to me. Blah. Someday I'll make the Roxas one to put up along side it so the off-canter heart in the background will make a bit more sense when it lines up with the other picture. My bro's lucky I love him so much. Razz

Just for those who are curious, this piece is 24X36 and right now Hobby Lobby has a great deal on 50% off glass top frames. Saved my butt on this huge thing.

I just got back from visiting my parents for my Valentine's Day Birthday (That's right, I'm awesome ;P) and while there knocked off another one of my remaining Christmas gifts.

Tada! Giant-Ass Custom Lighthouse for my Dad. (Sorry it was so late Dad! Merry Chistmas!! *Bows repeatedly in shame*) I looked all over PixelJoint.com and the net for a pixel lighthouse but could find nothing I liked, they all looked small and dinky. Mad Lighthouses are grand and beautiful; and especially since it was for my Dad it had to be. So, I drew up my own in Photoshop and beaded it. I think it turned out pretty darn nice if I do say so myself. I as well did two quick magnets my Dad has been asking for since I started beading:

He has this thing for Sonic since whenever he went to work when I was a kid, there I was at 5am sitting in front of the tv watching Sonic on USA. ;) Nostalgia is awesome.

It's done, it's done, it's done it's done. Finally.:

My old room mate can finally rejoice as her belated Christmas present is finally ironed in one piece. This "Thing" has caused me more problems then it's worth (lol at least in my eyes ;P). It took forever to get all the yucky, dirty square beads out and replaced with good ones and the damn thing kept buckling every time I tried to iron every piece together so no seam would show. Damn my anal retentiveness, damn it all!!!! Razz It's currently clear thumb-tacked to one of my walls just to keep it out of the way and off the floor until I can get it to her. The whole thing is 48in. X 28in. She is definitely NOT getting a frame with this one. Evil or Very Mad

Had a couple quick sonic SatAM requests lately so pumped the first one out in what I swear was my sleep since I don't remember exactly doing it last night (?) The things I do when I'm tired but can't sleep....Confused

I've always loved the SonicXSally mix ever since I was like 8 years old reading the comic books. Kinda what helped lead me down the path to becoming an animator. To bad the current sonic comics art style sucks now. Crying or Very sad

WHERE DID YOU GET THOSE SATAM SPRITES?!! *DROOL*

You are AMAZING. You've inspired me to keep going with all of my projects. =D

And, what is this flat-ironing technique you speak of? It makes your bead art stand out so much more!

LOL. I drool whenever I look at them too. Smile Just added got done with this one and added it to my etsy store:

We've got Dr. Ivo Robotnik come to spoil the planet Mobius and turn Sonic and his Freedom Fighter friends into robots. Oh no!!!! ............................ok, I opened up some of my old comic books......I know I'm a geek. ;P

As for where I got the sprites, I got them from Bookshire's Domain yeeeaaaarrrsss ago before they went under, I actually use to talk to the guy who made them. I don't really know if they are around anymore since Bookshire went down. Sad

Oh and when I say flat iron, that's my term for making sprites completely and utterly flat with no holes. I use the same technique Doc does to iron his sprites (you can see his tutorial under "Tutorials"). I then go over the little holes that remain with the tip of the iron until I get them all. Smile I like my sprites super flat. Very Happy

Just finished the Roxas half of Abyss Wolf's Kingdom Hearts Sprite.

He really does compliment the Sora too. Smile

I'll put up the picture of Roxas with his background (Kinda like the framed Sora's) soon. Man I can't wait for Kingdom Hearts 3. <3

Hello everyone. I don't really check this forum that often anymore since its pretty dead as compared to some other forums Sad , but I'll put up a little sample of some of the stuff I've been working on over the past couple months for those who haven't seen it yet.

This Link is probably the most popular thing I've finished lately so I'll start with him. Smile He is quite awesome (and huge) and once again I must pledge my devotion to the almighty pixel artist AbyssWolf for whom I based my bead sprite off of his art. Cool

I really love his (AbyssWolf's) stuff so much that I've actually done quite a few peices based of his sprites:

And once again I've done quite a few Sonic sprites as well since I love that little blue blur so much. Smile :

I really like this Sonic. I based him off of a pixel art piece done by an artist named OSM on pixeljoint.com. He really has that Satam style to him rather then the video game Sonic (not that the video game Sonic is bad by any means). I just like to make different things and he is quite different. ^.^

I might put up more things I've done of lately, but I think this is a pretty good run for now. If your ever interested is seeing my up-to-date stuff, please feel free to check out my Deviantart page. Peace all! Cool Wink
