Inspired by the works of others, I have undertaken creating video game sprite perler bead creations as decorations for my game room. My kids and I have created quite a number of them so far. Here is my latest work:

This is Chimchar from the upcoming Pokemon Diamond/Pearl game.

I'll post others as they are scanned.

Thank you both very much. It was some of the things that Wolfinteens did on the deviantart site that got me rolling with this.

I also taught my son's 5th grade class a board game called "Hive" a few weeks ago. Rather than showing them how to play the game with the small pieces that come with the game, I created a complete set out of Perler beads and placed magnets on the back of them. Then I could show and explain the game using the board in the front of the class. Here's a link to the game pieces I created.

I'll post a few more as time allows.

Some of other "originals"

Duck Hunt

The dog is copied from elsewhere, but the ducks are created from sprites

Early Work

Some of the first ones I did about 6-8 months ago...
Skeleton, Pokeball, Jack Skellington, Omi (Xaolin Showdown) and Pumpkin

The old Atari 2600 game - Kaboom !

Created from a screenshot

Mario Characters

We've made other Mario-related things as well, but these are from ripped sprites.

Toe Jam and Bomberman

Earl will be along later

My Son's Creations

Astronaut, Natu, Togepi

We've made about 20 or so smaller ones based on other's work (Koopas, Goombas, etc.)

I like your beads, at least the ones that I've seen so far... Keep up the good work... The pictures above all lead to the same link titled "maxbeads" which I would have to assume your son's name is max... Anyway, some of the early work is a bit too early, but they look like they were all done before you had a large square peg board... Good job though...
