I'm not asking you to. If you switched to my side I would quit the game because it would be no fun anymore. Your sarcasm keeps me on my toes, and I like it. |

I'd argue that I should be the first player...but red is my favorite color, so you can have it _________________ http://www.doctoroctoroc.com - It's a secret to everybody! |

|
|
New project in the works - a 2 foot long 3-D X-Wing from Star Wars. I'm officially a hardcore nerd, haha. So far I've beaded about 1/3 of the total pieces, but I ran out of white so I have to order more.
I did, however, finish one full wing.
(click pictures for enlargement)

In this next picture, you can see my current method for organizing pieces of my 3-D stuff, as well as the best way I've found to keep them flat while cooling - as long as you don't mind holes in your wall.
As you can see, I still have to bead the bottom and left side of the fuselage, as well as 3 more wings, each of which contains 3,664 beads. The piece as a whole when finished will contain 21,329 beads...almost as many as Skull Castle. _________________ http://www.doctoroctoroc.com - It's a secret to everybody! |

I like your flattening technique. Haha! You know you're devoted to your craft when...
Also, your tattoo is flippin sweet!! A nice spot for that one if I do say so myself. |

I swear I'll do my back in if I bow down any further to your beading greatness. ;)
Amazing as always, taking 3D beading to a whole new level. _________________

Will the wings be able to support themselves? I've never done a huge project, but I image +21,000 beads will be a little heavy. _________________

If you check out the pieces of the body on the wall, there are holes for the wings - each opposite wing will be attached through there, either by foam core or 2-ply chip board - I'm not sure yet...stll working that detail out _________________ http://www.doctoroctoroc.com - It's a secret to everybody!

|
|
Who loves Blaster Master? I know I do, so I had to make the car in 3-D Bead Sprite fashion.
Just so you appreciate the full complexity of how this thing goes together, I'm posting the plans for it, plus pictures of all the pieces.
Okay, fun right? It took a good while to bead and iron all those pieces, and I gotta admit, I was disappointed with the finished piece, not cause it lacks any of the badassitude that I normally strive for, but because it's just so damn small for all those pieces I had to make for it...however, this thing is solid - like a rock. Many of the pieces run through the car from one end to another, or from one side to the other, so it's nice and sturdy (plus that was the way I needed to design it to all fit together right).
I know...it seems like way more pieces than can fit in there, but damnit, they're all there.
One more from the side, and compare that to the original sprite!
Although, this is more of a 16-bit version of the car.
