Even though I've posted a few questions in other forums (mostly about bead colors and bead sources), I'm finally getting around to introducing myself.

I'm Rose (rgcainmd) and I "accidentally" became addicted to fuse beads after I purchased a tub of them at IKEA (now I use Perler and Hama beads exclusively) for my 5-year-old daughter. (I'm actually quite old [turning 50 Crying or Very sad in a couple of months], even though I have a relatively young child; my oldest is 19 and away at college.) I stumbled across this group in my search for images to bead, and now I'm busy beading sprites! This is kind of ironic because I don't play (never have) video/RPGs and barely know the difference between Mario and X-Men. So I just search for images that appeal to me visually, as I have no fond memories of these characters from playing the games. (Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against gamers; some of my best friends are gamers...)

Anyway, it's nice to know you're all here and that I'm not the only gainfully-employed (I'm an M.D.) adult who plays with beads and irons!

See you,
Rose

Yeah, I don't think the makers of Perler and Hama beads had us in mind when they created them, otherwise there would be more shades of grey!

Anyways, I share your sentiment on the "gainfully employed adult who plays with beads and irons" statement. Full time job and full time hobby. I don't have kids yet but I can imagine how full your plate is.

Well, we're all here to help, welcome and I'm looking forward to seeing all your creations!
