While you're recovering from that Monty Python reference, count yourself fortunate because I actually refrained from assaulting you with a god-awful pun on The Rime of the Ancient Mariner, The Wreck of The Edmund Fitzgerald, or The Tempest. Can't puzzle out the connection? This post is about a topic that has not been discussed here before: shipping bead sprites.

How do you package them? What carrier do you use? What is the maximum size sprite you feel would survive the shipping process? Do you use different ironing techniques on sprites that you plan to ship to help them survive the shipping process? Do you have any tips or any horror stories?

Thats actually a good question. I recently shipped a small Zelda sprite to my girlfriend. I was originally going to buy one of those padded envelopes, you know the kind? They have bubble wrap inside of them. And then if you put it inside of a box, it should be okay. Anything much larger, and im not sure it would ship well.

I would put it on top of a piece of stiff cardboard cut to a little larger than the sprite, wrap the whole thing in bubble wrap, put it in one of those USPS boxes, and ship away!!!

Thus far, I've only shipped small magnets. Most of my stuff is pre-packaged in cardstock folded once over, inside a graded baseball card sleeve. I usually ship them in bubble wrape envelopes. Depending on how well your bead sprite is ironed, it can withstand bending and pressure. If you prefer the "holy" look, it may not hold up so well.
